Define the quality evidence
A QA plan begins with user journeys, supported platforms and acceptance criteria. Functional coverage includes the first session, progression, saves, purchases, errors and return flows. Regression coverage protects previously accepted behaviour as new work is integrated.
Issue reports need reproducible steps, build identifiers, device details and expected results. Severity reflects the impact on players and delivery, not only how easy a defect is to demonstrate.
Test representative conditions
Performance work uses demanding scenes and sustained play on the agreed hardware. Online systems require latency, interruption and load scenarios. Mobile builds need device and lifecycle testing; console work includes applicable platform requirements where access is available.
Automated checks support repeatability, while exploratory play and usability observation reveal problems that scripts do not anticipate. The balance depends on the project rather than a promise that every behaviour will be automated.
Make release readiness a decision
Release reports summarise coverage, unresolved risks, known issues and the disposition of acceptance criteria. A candidate build is identified precisely so stakeholders know what they are approving. Post-launch response and patch verification are planned separately.
Bring the current build, target devices, issue history and release objectives. An assessment can define the required test effort and prioritise the defects or performance constraints that block the intended experience.
Planning your engagement
What should we include in an initial brief?
Describe the intended audience, core player experience, target platforms, reference games, available IP or code, budget range and launch priorities. Identify the requirements that are fixed and those you want us to help resolve. We use this to determine the next scoping decisions.
What is included in the production proposal?
The proposal records the agreed scope, assumptions, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, review process and commercial terms. Source access, IP rights, third-party costs and post-launch responsibilities are defined for the specific engagement. Submitting an enquiry does not order paid work.
