Specify the PC experience
PC players encounter different displays, input devices and hardware configurations. The brief defines minimum and recommended targets, graphics options, resolution behaviour, controller support and the intended relationship between keyboard and pointer interactions. A settings menu is part of the product, not an afterthought.
The target operating systems are selected during scoping. Supporting Windows does not automatically establish compatibility with macOS or Linux. Each target needs a tested build and a clear maintenance commitment.
Build systems that remain understandable at scale
PC projects may combine deep inventories, large environments, complex simulations or precise combat. Technical design connects these demands to CPU, memory and rendering budgets. Profiling uses representative scenes, including dense content and demanding player actions, rather than an empty map.
Distribution services such as Steamworks can be integrated where the client has the required access. Achievements, cloud saves, input integration and multiplayer services are scoped individually, with account ownership and platform obligations documented.
Deliver a maintainable release
Release readiness covers packaging, installer or store delivery, configuration, crash investigation and update planning. Builds need reproducible instructions, version identification and a known recovery path. The agreement records which operating systems and hardware classes remain supported after launch.
For an existing game, begin with a repository and build assessment. For an original title, provide reference games, input expectations, intended visual quality and the most demanding systems. These details make a PC production estimate substantially more useful.
Planning your engagement
What should we include in an initial brief?
Describe the intended audience, core player experience, target platforms, reference games, available IP or code, budget range and launch priorities. Identify the requirements that are fixed and those you want us to help resolve. We use this to determine the next scoping decisions.
What is included in the production proposal?
The proposal records the agreed scope, assumptions, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, review process and commercial terms. Source access, IP rights, third-party costs and post-launch responsibilities are defined for the specific engagement. Submitting an enquiry does not order paid work.
