GAME DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

Live Operations

Post-launch updates, events, balancing and operational support scoped around the game’s audience, service requirements and content pipeline.

Turn launch into a managed service

Live operations begins with a service definition: supported builds, operating hours, incident severity, responsibilities and reporting. A game may need scheduled content, configuration changes, community support or infrastructure operations. These are related but distinct obligations.

The agreement identifies what is included in recurring support and what requires a separate production estimate. Response targets, release windows and escalation contacts are agreed rather than implied by an open-ended promise of ongoing support.

Make changes observable and reversible

Content updates and balancing changes need versioning, review and an understood release path. Remote configuration can reduce deployment friction when access controls and rollback procedures are in place. Changes to progression or an economy should be evaluated for existing players as well as new accounts.

Monitoring and telemetry should answer operational questions: whether sessions succeed, where failures occur and whether an update changed important behaviour. The data collected and retained should match those purposes.

Plan a sustainable content cadence

An event calendar is a production commitment. Art, engineering, writing, localisation and QA capacity must support the promised cadence. Reusable tools and content patterns can help, but every update still needs acceptance evidence.

Provide the current build, infrastructure, player-support arrangements and intended operating model. An initial audit can identify missing documentation, deployment risk and the work required before a recurring service can be priced responsibly.

Planning your engagement

What should we include in an initial brief?

Describe the intended audience, core player experience, target platforms, reference games, available IP or code, budget range and launch priorities. Identify the requirements that are fixed and those you want us to help resolve. We use this to determine the next scoping decisions.

What is included in the production proposal?

The proposal records the agreed scope, assumptions, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, review process and commercial terms. Source access, IP rights, third-party costs and post-launch responsibilities are defined for the specific engagement. Submitting an enquiry does not order paid work.
